Job Overview
The Solar Power Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day performance, maintenance, and optimization of ENI’s 150 MW solar facility in Ghardaïa. Reporting to the Regional Renewable Energy Director, the manager will ensure maximum plant availability, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and alignment with production targets. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the operations team to achieve optimal plant performance and availability.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs aligned with manufacturer recommendations.
- Monitor real‑time production data, analyze trends, and initiate corrective actions to meet or exceed generation targets.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and logistics departments for spare‑parts management and equipment upgrades.
- Prepare detailed operational reports, KPI dashboards, and budget forecasts for senior management.
- Manage relationships with local authorities, grid operators, and community stakeholders to facilitate smooth plant operations.
- Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Oversee emergency response plans and lead incident investigations when necessary.
- Promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and high performance across all plant activities.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
- In‑depth knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) technology, inverter systems, and plant control software.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and SCADA systems.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on root‑cause analysis.
- Effective communication skills in Arabic, French, and English.
- Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with Algerian energy regulations and grid interconnection standards.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PMP, CEM, or Six Sigma Green Belt are highly desirable.
Experience
At least five years of hands‑on experience in operating and maintaining large‑scale solar power plants or comparable renewable energy facilities. Experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the energy sector is essential.
Salary
The competitive compensation package ranges from 150,000 to 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and incentives are also part of the package.
