Job Summary

Manage the hotel’s daily accounting operations while supporting the Cluster Director of Finance. The role focuses on financial reporting, budgeting, audits, compliance, and maintaining strong financial controls to drive business performance.


Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and reconciliations
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and profit & loss statements
  • Ensure timely internal and external financial reporting
  • Maintain asset, liability, and cash control processes

2. Business Performance & Profitability

  • Support strategies to improve financial results and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor financial performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Ensure accuracy of P&L statements and financial data

3. Compliance, Audit & Controls

  • Maintain strong internal control systems
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial policies
  • Manage internal, external, and regulatory audits
  • Verify all taxes are properly recorded and reported

4. Strategic Support & Decision Making

  • Provide financial insights to leadership for decision-making
  • Support annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts
  • Identify cost-saving and productivity improvement opportunities

5. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and manage the accounting team
  • Support hiring, training, and performance management
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination
  • Hotel accounting experience (mandatory)
  • Experience in operational finance preferred

  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge (Opera, PeopleSoft, Micros preferred)
  • Understanding of P&L, budgeting, and forecasting
