Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Tamanrasset, Algeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and energy production. The role will involve working closely with government agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are developed and implemented in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, a proven track record of conducting environmental impact assessments, and excellent communication and project management skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and energy production
  • Work closely with government agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are developed and implemented in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans for projects
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and reporting for projects
  • Collaborate with other WWF teams to develop and implement conservation strategies

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and management
  • Proven track record of conducting environmental impact assessments
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
