Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Ghardaïa, Algeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and energy production.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, a proven track record of conducting environmental impact assessments, and excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental impact assessments for various projects, including infrastructure development, mining, and energy production
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans to minimize the impact of projects on the environment
  • Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and government agencies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and laws
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local communities and stakeholders to ensure their concerns are addressed and their rights are respected
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on environmental issues and best practices

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and management
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and laws in Algeria
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with stakeholders
  • Fluency in Arabic and French

Education

We are looking for a candidate with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a related field is an asset.

Experience

We are seeking a candidate with 8-12 years of experience in environmental impact assessment and management. Experience in project management and team leadership is an asset.

Salary

The salary for this position is 50000-70000 SSP/year, depending on experience and qualifications.
