Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead Nestlé Algeria’s QA function at the Sidi Bel Abbès plant, ensuring that all products comply with internal standards, national regulations, and international certifications such as ISO 22000 and BRC. Reporting to the Regional QA Director, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team of auditors, inspectors, and laboratory technicians, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the production line. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 22000, BRC, and local food safety regulations.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring corrective actions are identified, assigned, and closed within defined timelines.
  • Supervise daily quality control activities, including raw material inspection, in‑process monitoring, and finished‑goods testing.
  • Collaborate with Production to design and execute preventive maintenance and sanitation programs that reduce contamination risks.
  • Analyze quality data, generate trend reports, and drive root‑cause investigations to implement sustainable improvements.
  • Provide training and mentorship to QA staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and compliance.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs to ensure product labeling, traceability, and documentation meet Algerian standards.
  • Support new product introductions by conducting risk assessments, validation studies, and pilot‑scale trials.
  • Manage relationships with third‑party certification bodies and ensure timely renewal of certifications.
  • Contribute to cross‑functional projects aimed at enhancing product quality, shelf‑life, and consumer satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (ISO 22000, BRC, HACCP) and Algerian food regulations.
  • Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with proficiency in statistical tools (SPC, Minitab).
  • Effective communication skills in Arabic, French, and English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Project management experience with a focus on continuous improvement.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or HACCP Practitioner are highly desirable.

Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of 5‑7 years of progressive experience in quality assurance within the food & beverage industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in multinational environments and familiarity with global QA standards are essential.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of 150,000 to 200,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and annual salary reviews are part of the compensation package.
