Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vessel berthing, cargo loading, and discharge operations at the Tindouf port and neighboring terminals.
  • Prepare and verify all shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and hazardous material certificates.
  • Monitor vessel schedules, track cargo status, and proactively address delays or disruptions.
  • Liaise with customs officials, port authorities, and freight forwarders to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve turnaround times.
  • Implement Maersk’s digital tools for shipment visibility and performance reporting.
  • Provide regular updates to customers on shipment status, ETA, and any exceptions.
  • Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for marine logistics in the region.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
  • Proficiency with logistics management software (e.g., Maersk Spot, Navis, or similar platforms).
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills in Arabic, French, and English.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, International Trade, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) or a maritime logistics qualification are advantageous.
