Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee full finance and accounting operations for the Algeria office
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards
- Manage tax reporting and regulatory financial obligations
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Monitor financial performance and ensure alignment with business goals
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to improve profitability
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors
- Manage full audit cycles and compliance reporting
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and tax laws in Algeria
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team
- Support country and regional leadership with financial analysis and reporting
- Maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and key stakeholders
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- Qualified CA, ACCA, or MBA in Finance
- Minimum 10+ years of post-qualification experience
Experience
- Strong background in finance management, reporting, and compliance
- Experience in the shipping or maritime industry is highly preferred
- Proven leadership experience in managing finance teams
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- High attention to detail and financial accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
