Job Overview

Recruitment Matters is seeking a highly experienced Finance Manager to join a leading organization in Algeria. This role is ideal for a senior finance professional with strong expertise in financial planning, reporting, compliance, and team leadership, preferably within the shipping or maritime industry.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee full finance and accounting operations for the Algeria office
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards
  • Manage tax reporting and regulatory financial obligations

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Monitor financial performance and ensure alignment with business goals
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to improve profitability

Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors
  • Manage full audit cycles and compliance reporting
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and tax laws in Algeria

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team
  • Support country and regional leadership with financial analysis and reporting
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and key stakeholders

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Qualified CA, ACCA, or MBA in Finance
  • Minimum 10+ years of post-qualification experience

Experience

  • Strong background in finance management, reporting, and compliance
  • Experience in the shipping or maritime industry is highly preferred
  • Proven leadership experience in managing finance teams

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • High attention to detail and financial accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Fluent in French and Arabic
  • Proficient in English

Nationality

  • Must be an Algerian national
