We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Communications Network Engineer to join our growing team in Biskra, Algeria. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement satellite communication networks including VSAT systems and broadband satellite solutions
• Perform network capacity planning and optimization to ensure efficient use of satellite resources
• Configure and maintain satellite modems, routers, and other network equipment
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot technical issues in real-time
• Coordinate with satellite control centers for transponder configuration and bandwidth management
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams and configuration details
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams for satellite communication services
• Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure and data transmission
• Conduct site surveys and oversee installation of satellite communication equipment
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in satellite communications

Required Skills

• Expert knowledge of satellite communication systems and technologies
• Strong understanding of RF principles, link budget calculations, and propagation effects
• Proficiency in network protocols including TCP/IP, VoIP, and MPLS
• Experience with satellite modem configuration and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with satellite frequency bands (C, Ku, Ka) and their applications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and in team environments
• Project management skills for coordinating multiple installations and upgrades
• Fluency in English and Arabic/French for technical documentation and communication

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in satellite communications (such as SCPC or VSAT certifications) are highly desirable. Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in satellite communications engineering, with at least 3 years focused on network design and implementation.
