Job Overview
The Renewable Energy Project Finance Analyst will be responsible for evaluating, structuring, and monitoring the financial performance of Air Liquide’s renewable energy projects across Algeria. The analyst will work closely with engineering, operations, and senior management to ensure projects are financially viable, compliant with local regulations, and aligned with the company’s sustainability objectives. This position offers a unique chance to influence the financing of solar, wind, and hybrid energy installations that power Algeria’s industrial future.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed financial models for new renewable energy projects, including cash flow forecasts, IRR, NPV, and sensitivity analyses.
- Conduct due diligence on project partners, suppliers, and financing institutions to mitigate risk.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for senior leadership and external investors.
- Monitor ongoing project performance, track key financial metrics, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with Algerian energy laws and international financing standards.
- Support the negotiation of financing terms with banks, equity partners, and multilateral institutions.
- Provide regular financial reporting to internal stakeholders and external auditors.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel; experience with VBA or Python is a plus.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and market dynamics in North Africa.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and quantitative skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities in both French and English.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally in a multicultural environment.
- Knowledge of Algerian tax, customs, and financing regulations.
Education
A Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM are highly desirable and demonstrate a commitment to financial excellence.
Experience
Candidates must have at least five years of experience in project finance, preferably within the renewable energy sector or large‑scale infrastructure projects. Prior exposure to financing structures involving debt, equity, and public‑private partnerships (PPP) in Algeria or similar markets will be considered a strong advantage.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 150,000 to 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, performance‑based bonuses and long‑term incentive plans are offered.
