Job Overview
The Port Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all day‑to‑day activities at the Batna terminal, ensuring smooth vessel berthing, cargo handling, and hinterland connectivity. This role requires a strategic mindset combined with hands‑on operational expertise to manage resources, coordinate with shipping lines, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders, and implement best practices that align with DP World’s global standards. Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise all terminal operations, including vessel scheduling, cargo loading/unloading, and yard management.
- Develop and implement operational plans that meet performance targets for throughput, turnaround time, and equipment utilization.
- Ensure compliance with national and international maritime regulations, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines.
- Collaborate with customs, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to streamline documentation and clearance processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports for senior management.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Manage budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation for the terminal.
- Foster a culture of safety, training, and employee engagement across all operational teams.
- Oversee maintenance schedules for handling equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Act as the primary point of contact for emergency response and incident management.

Education

Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in port operations, terminal management, or large‑scale logistics environments, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Salary
