Job Overview
The Heavy Equipment Fleet Manager will play a critical role in our El Tarf operations, overseeing the lifecycle, maintenance, and deployment of a massive fleet of mining vehicles and earthmoving equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all heavy mining equipment.
- Optimize fleet utilization through data-driven scheduling and real-time monitoring.
- Manage the procurement of spare parts and heavy machinery components to ensure zero operational delays.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of maintenance engineers and technicians.
- Monitor fuel consumption and operational costs to ensure budget compliance.
- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols across all workshop activities.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and recommend capital expenditure for fleet replacement.
- Coordinate with the logistics department to manage the movement of heavy assets between sites.
Required Skills
- Expertise in heavy machinery mechanics (excavators, haul trucks, dozers, and graders).
- Proficiency in Fleet Management Systems (FMS) and predictive maintenance software.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities in a high-pressure environment.
- Advanced analytical skills for cost-benefit analysis and operational reporting.
- Deep understanding of supply chain management for industrial spare parts.

Education
