Job Overview

The Geophysical Data Interpretation Engineer will join the Exploration & Production team in El Tarf, focusing on the analysis and interpretation of seismic and other geophysical datasets to identify hydrocarbon prospects. Key Responsibilities

• Process, quality‑control, and interpret 2D/3D seismic data using industry‑standard software such as Petrel, Kingdom, and OpendTect.
• Integrate well log, VSP, and gravity/magnetic data to build comprehensive subsurface models.
• Collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers to define target horizons and assess reservoir potential.
• Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Support drilling teams by providing real‑time geophysical guidance during well planning and execution.
• Ensure compliance with Schlumberger’s data management standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Participate in field trips and site visits to validate interpretations against geological observations.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives within the department.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom, OpendTect).
• Strong understanding of geophysical principles, signal processing, and structural geology.
• Ability to integrate multidisciplinary data sets and generate coherent geological models.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Effective communication skills for presenting complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or French is a plus for local collaboration.

Education

Salary
