Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geomatics Research Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in geomatics and remote sensing, developing new methodologies and tools, and collaborating with colleagues to advance our research agenda.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geomatics or a related field, excellent research skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in geomatics and remote sensing, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Develop new methodologies and tools for geomatics and remote sensing applications
- Collaborate with colleagues to advance our research agenda and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Present research results at conferences and workshops
- Supervise and mentor junior researchers and students
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in Geomatics or related field
- Excellent research skills, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB
- Experience with geospatial analysis software, such as ArcGIS or QGIS
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Education
We require a Ph.D. in Geomatics or a related field from a reputable university. A strong academic record and research experience are essential.
