Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Geologist to join our team in Tlemcen, Algeria. As an Environmental Geologist, you will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments and developing strategies to minimize the environmental footprint of our mining operations.
You will work closely with our geology and engineering teams to identify and mitigate potential environmental risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in geology and environmental science, with experience in environmental impact assessments and permitting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop strategies to minimize environmental risks
- Work with geology and engineering teams to identify and mitigate potential environmental risks
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Develop and implement environmental management plans
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including local communities and government agencies
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Geology or Environmental Science
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental geology or a related field
- Strong knowledge of environmental impact assessments and permitting
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
