Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Conservation Program Manager to join our team in Ghardaïa, Algeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our conservation programs in the region, working closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to protect and preserve natural habitats.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental conservation, with experience in program management, community engagement, and stakeholder relations. They will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of conservation programs in the region, in collaboration with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.

Manage and coordinate the work of conservation teams, including staff, contractors, and volunteers.

Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and coordination.

Monitor and evaluate the impact of conservation programs, making adjustments as necessary to ensure effectiveness.

Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and compliance with organizational policies.

Required Skills

Master’s degree in environmental conservation, ecology, biology, or a related field.

8-12 years of experience in environmental conservation, program management, community engagement, and stakeholder relations.

Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in team management and coordination.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Education

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in environmental conservation, ecology, biology, or a related field. They will also have a strong background in program management, community engagement, and stakeholder relations.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in environmental conservation, program management, community engagement, and stakeholder relations. They will have a strong track record of leading conservation programs, managing teams, and developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

Salary

The salary for this position is 50,000 – 70,000 SSP per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
