Job Overview

The Aviation Safety Auditor will play a pivotal role in ensuring Air Algérie’s compliance with national and international aviation safety regulations. Reporting to the Head of Safety Management, the auditor will conduct comprehensive safety audits, risk assessments, and investigations across all operational domains, including flight operations, maintenance, ground handling, and cabin services. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report on comprehensive safety audits covering flight operations, aircraft maintenance, ground handling, and cabin services.
• Identify safety hazards, assess risks, and develop actionable recommendations to mitigate identified issues.
• Lead investigations of safety incidents, accidents, and near‑miss events, producing detailed reports and corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with Algerian Civil Aviation Authority regulations, IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) standards, and international best practices.
• Collaborate with department heads to implement safety management system (SMS) enhancements and monitor effectiveness.
• Prepare and present safety performance metrics to senior management and external regulators.
• Facilitate safety training sessions and workshops for staff at all levels.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of evolving aviation safety regulations and industry trends.
• Support the development of safety policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Participate in cross‑functional safety committees and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

• In‑depth knowledge of ICAO Annexes, AAC regulations, IOSA standards, and EASA requirements.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Proficiency with safety management software and audit tools.
• Ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams.

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Safety Management, or a related discipline is required. Candidates holding a Master’s degree or professional certifications such as Certified Aviation Safety Professional (CASP) or IOSA Auditor certification will be given preference.

Experience

Applicants must have at least five (5) years of hands‑on experience conducting aviation safety audits, risk assessments, or investigations within an airline, aircraft maintenance organization, or regulatory authority. Experience with SMS implementation and familiarity with international safety standards are essential.

Salary

The compensation package ranges from 150,000 to 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and performance. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
