Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Geomatics Research Scientist to join our team in Tamanrasset, Algeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in geomatics, including the development and application of geospatial technologies and methods. The position will involve working closely with our international partners and collaborating with other researchers to advance our understanding of the Earth’s surface processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in geomatics, including the development and application of geospatial technologies and methods.
- Collaborate with other researchers to advance our understanding of the Earth’s surface processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with international partners and stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of research proposals and funding applications.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in Geomatics or a related field.
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
Education
We require a Ph.D. in Geomatics or a related field from a recognized university. A Master’s degree in a relevant field may be considered for a Research Assistant position.
Experience
We are looking for a candidate with 5-7 years of experience in geomatics research, including experience with geospatial technologies and methods. Experience working in a research institution or industry is highly desirable.
Salary
The salary for this position is 40000-60000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
