Job Overview

The Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety across all chemical production processes at BASF’s Mila plant. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety cases, operating procedures, and emergency response plans.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Collaborate with process engineers to design safety‑integrated modifications and upgrades.
• Provide safety training and mentorship to plant personnel and contractors.
• Monitor compliance with Algerian safety regulations, BASF Global Safety Standards, and industry best practices.
• Participate in internal and external safety audits, preparing reports and follow‑up actions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in hazard identification tools such as HAZOP, FMEA, and Bow‑Tie analysis.
