Job Overview
This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing hydrogen energy systems to support Algeria’s renewable energy goals. The position is based in Skikda, a key industrial hub with growing infrastructure for green energy projects. Candidates will contribute to Iberdrola’s mission of advancing hydrogen as a clean energy carrier while gaining exposure to international best practices in energy technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement hydrogen production, storage, and distribution systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies for hydrogen energy projects in alignment with national energy policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hydrogen solutions with existing renewable energy infrastructure.
- Monitor and analyze system performance to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in hydrogen energy systems or related fields (electrolysis, fuel cells, etc.).
- Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Knowledge of Algerian energy regulations and international sustainability standards.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical) or Renewable Energy.
- Master’s Degree preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in energy systems engineering, with a focus on hydrogen or renewable technologies.
- Project management experience in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Salary
450,000 – 650,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
