Job Overview
This role is part of Veolia’s initiative to enhance urban sustainability in Annaba. The specialist will design and implement waste management strategies aligned with Algeria’s 2030 Green Growth Plan. The position requires collaboration with municipal authorities, NGOs, and private stakeholders to improve waste collection, recycling, and public awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute urban waste management strategies for Annaba municipality
- Conduct waste audit assessments and propose optimization solutions
- Coordinate with local authorities to enforce waste disposal regulations
- Design public awareness campaigns on sustainable waste practices
- Monitor compliance with national environmental standards
- Prepare technical reports and sustainability impact analyses
Required Skills
- Expertise in municipal waste management systems
- Knowledge of Algerian environmental regulations
- Project management and stakeholder coordination
- Data analysis and reporting software proficiency
- Bilingual (Arabic/French or Arabic/English)
